The building blocks that form the foundation of your training programme.
Get the data needed to motivate and measure change with a fully comprehensive array of assessments that gives me the data I need to build each element of your programme.
The programme starts with a combination of quantitative and qualitative assessments which include:
DEXA scanning to get an exact measure of body fat and muscle to the nearest gram plus an exact map of where you are storing it.
Metabolic testing to know exactly how many calories your body burns at rest and whether you are burning a greater amount at fats or carbohydrates.
VO2 max testing to see how many calories and what fuel you are using at specific heart rates so that we know what training zones you should be training at for fat loss and fitness gains.
Heart rate variability profiling to monitor how your stress and recovery varies over a 72 hour period allowing us o improve lifestyle factors for increased mental and physical resilience.
Movement assessment to highlight what areas of the body need work to ensure a safe, effective and well-rounded training programme.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach, personal training sessions are built around you.
Based on the results of the assessments and your own goals, your program will be created accordingly. The movement assessment will show any corrective exercise needs to give you strong foundations. We will maximise your strengths and bolster any weaknesses.
Strength training will be designed to improve all areas of your muscular fitness including your stability, strength, endurance and power.
Your cardiovascular training will be tailored based on your VO2 max testing so you'll work at specific heart rates to achieve specific targets. That way you are training smart, not just hard.
Nutrition is fundamental to optimal performance and achieving your health goals.
I don’t try to overhaul your life and set unrealistic food plans; we’ll work together to find what areas in your nutrition need most work.
Nutrition plays a huge role in whether or not you achieve your goals and there is no one-size-fits-all approach that works for everyone.
That's why your nutrition coaching will be tailored to suit your needs and lifestyle. Some clients need strict tailored meal plans, while others need more flexibility and realistic solutions due to work commitments.
